The work, 1 to 4

Why Shopfront exists and what it bets, the plan and each of its versions, who works on it, and the sites it has launched.

Purpose

Why the project exists, what it’s trying to do, and the hypothesis it tests.

The brief

Most independent shops, cafés and trades still have a weak website, or none. Agencies cost too much and do-it-yourself builders take time they don’t have.

Shopfront builds a proper site for a fixed fee, in about two weeks, and keeps it up to date. The owner approves every page, and owns the site outright.

A good website brings in local customers who search before they visit. For a small business, it’s often the difference between being found and being missed.

Goals

  1. 01Launch sites that local businesses are proud of
  2. 02Keep clients on monthly care plans
  3. 03Cover the project’s costs from fees within three months

Hypothesis H-01

Version 1Holding

If clients approve every page before launch, small businesses will pay for agent-built websites, and fees will cover Shopfront’s costs within three months.
